Liplift or lip lifting
Lip lift is a type of lip rejuvenation surgery in which we seek to restore the proportions of the lip with the rest of the face by shortening the white lip.
As the years go by, the mouth is one of the areas that shows the most signs of ageing. Something very characteristic of aged lips is the elongation of the white lip, that is, the distance between the base of the nose and the lip. Liplift corrects this on an outpatient basis and with a practically imperceptible scar.
WHAT IS THE SURGERY LIKE?
There are different variants of this surgery, the most common being a lip lift with an incision under the nose, where it is hidden and, over the weeks, almost imperceptible.
Another option is a direct lip lift, where the incision is made right on the edge of the red lip, leaving the scar hidden in the change of colour from the red lip to the white lip.
The corners of the lips can also be raised by means of a corner lift, making the incisions only on the outer part of the lip, when there is a more evident drooping of this area.
